My Day with Dad

Do you like Disney? Well, my Dad and I went on a tour to the castle that Disney mode led its castle after. The castle is the Neuschwanstein Castle. We started the tour by sitting in a bus for almost 2 hours. During the drive we had to pick what we wanted for lunch and of course since now that my favorite food to eat is this fried thing that is almost like a chicken nugget but isn’t (clarification from Dad: wiener schnitzel).

After the bus ride to Hohenschwangau, we all went on a bike ride and I asked Dad if he thought I could get an orange bike, since orange is my favorite color. He said no that they probably didn’t have colored bikes, but then I asked if there might be a pink bike and he said no again. But when we got to where they stored the bikes, there was a pink bike! There were only two so I ran over to get one of them.

Getting to the castle required a fairly strenuous uphill climb. Here’s a view from the path.

Once we started riding it was so beautiful because you could see both of Ludwig’s castles (Neuschwanstein and Linderhof) next to each other. We ended up riding through farmland and forest to a nearby lake. It was so cool because we got to go swimming there! We had to change in the bushes were no one could see you, but everyone was there. I mean all the girls were there changing. Dad dared me to jump in and when I did it was freezing! We only had about 20 minutes to go swimming and we wished that we could stay longer.

After swimming, we rode back and ate our lunch at the brauhaus where we parked the bus. Then we went on a 30-minute tour of the inside of the Neuschwanstein Castle! It was so cool! We saw the living areas and the ballroom (Hall of Singers) and things like that! Exciting! Well that is what our Neuschwanstein experience was! Hope that you can go to see the castle one day!
